The asana practice was never meant to be an end goal within itself. Instead, it can be a wonderfully revealing, subtle process that will serve you through life. By refining deep internal alignments, intention and breath, one’s posture begins to sparkle and shine.
This three-hour workshop will touch on all of the core fundamental approaches that Dylan teaches. We’ll apply these fundamentals in a variety of postures, from forward and back-bends through eccentric foot-behind-the-head variations and alluring hand balance. Students are highly encouraged to bring postures that they would like to work upon. Dylan will do his best to cover everyone’s area of interest and questions.

Dylan was fortunate enough to be introduced to yoga and meditation in 1988. These essential tools helped him negotiate the turbulent seas of his teens and twenties. Then Ashtanga Yoga discovered Dylan at the end of his first year in India. He has maintained a daily practice ever since.
In addition to time spent in Mysore with Guruji, Saraswati and Sharath Jois, Dylan has been blessed to connect with other dear senior experts from the Ashtanga lineage. He has worked diligently with Prem and Radha Carlisi at Ashtanga Yoga Bali Research Center. He has also been shaped by lead under Rolf and Marci Naujokat, Tim Miller, Clayton Horton, Kristina Karitinou Ireland, Casey J Palmer, Vijay Amar and Cliff Barber. Time spent working and residing in the monastaries of Venerable Thích Huyền Diệu has also proven immensely insightful.
Dylan has a Master's Degree in Buddhist Studies, has been authorised to teach Ashtanga by the Shri K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute and also holds an EYRT 500 thingy, the highest certification available from Yoga Alliance.
His sessions are designed to put students into direct contact with their own true internal guides. Yoga has never been limited to āsana for Dylan and yet, he values the critical role that the physical practice can play in bringing light to one's whole being.
Dylan is truly excited to return to Istanbul where once-upon-a-time he helped to launch Mysore at YogaŞala. It will be his honor to return and be of further service to the Ashtanga and Yoga communities.
