This session is appropriate for those who want to learn the Ashtanga-Vinyasa Yoga method. Ashtanga sessions mainly focus on the link between breath and movement.
In Sanskrit, Ashtanga is translated as "Eight Limb path." Ashtanga yoga involves a physically demanding sequence of predefined postures. The Ashtanga sequence starts with five sun salutation A's and three sun salutation B's and then moves into a series of standing and sitted postures. In this session the postures will be taught by breaking down the important elements of each pose and offering modifications as necessary.
The session will traditionally end with back-bends and inversions (i.e Urdhva Dhanurasana - Wheel pose, and Shirshasana- headstand).
