Doruk has led an active sports life for the last 13 years, during this time he was particularly enthused by many extreme sports such as mountaineering, rock climbing, city and trail running. He was first introduced to yoga in 2019 and since that moment yoga became a main part of his life.
Doruk completed the 200 Hour Hatha and Vinyasa styles Yoga Training Program under the guidance of Hamsa Saraswati (Hara Yoga) and Zeynep Kemaloğlu (ZK Studio).
He also completed 96 hours of Fascia, Anatomy and Kinesiology training with Soner Özsu, and 50 hours of Thai Massage training with Hamsa Saraswati. She worked with Meltem Fakabasmaz, Övünç Esen (Hara Yoga), Betül Eroğlu (YogaŞala), Zuhal Özyurt (YogaŞala), Lebriz Dedeoğlu (YogaŞala), Eric Powell (YogaŞala) and Ürün Kurtiç (YogaŞala).
During this period, he was introduced to Vinyasa Krama and then completed a 100-hour advanced level instructor training with Srivatsa Ramaswami, who was T. Krishnamacharya's longest student in India. Doruk approach is to guide many age groups to create body awareness on the mat through Yoga and to spread this awareness throughout life.
